This page provides guidance on how to move your Slingshot services when relocating to a new address in New Zealand.

 

 

Moving Your Slingshot Services

If you're planning to move house, Slingshot makes it easy to transfer your broadband and phone services to your new address.

Step 1: Let Slingshot Know You're Moving

You can organize your move by:

  • Clicking Move House on your MySlingshot

  • Calling us on 0800 89 2020

Step 2: Provide the Necessary Details

In order to submit a Move request you will need:

  • Your new address

  • The date you’re moving

  • Whether you want to keep your existing phone number (If you have one)

  • Any changes to your service (e.g. upgrading your plan)

Step 3: Checking Availability

We will confirm whether your current services are available at your new address. If not, we'll help you choose the best alternative.

Step 4: Installation and Activation

Depending on the type of connection at your new place, we may:

  • Arrange for a technician to visit

  • Send you a new modem (if required)

Once a date is confirmed, we will provide activation date for the connection. 

Important Notes

  • We recommend 5 - 15 working days’ notice to avoid service disruption.

  • If you're moving to a fibre-ready address, it's a quick and easy transition across!

  • There may be relocation fees depending on your current plan and the services available at your new address. We will advise you ahead of time if this is required.
