  2. Wait for Connection:
    • Allow 2 minutes for the router to connect to the internet.

    • Ensure the 4G network light is green and the internet light is white.
  3. Placement:
    • Place the router in a suitable location, preferably near a window for a stronger signal.
  4. Connect to Wi-Fi:
    • Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your mobile device or laptop.
    • Connect to the Slingshot Wi-Fi network using the network name and password found on the back of the router.
    • You can use the QR code for quick connection or enter the password manually.

Ideal set up location

Wireless Broadband, unlike Fibre or Copper, requires a 4G signal just like your mobile device in order to operate.

Because of this, we recommend keeping your modem:

  • On a shelf or windowsill,
  • Off the ground,
  • Away from other electronics,

By doing this, it will allow the modem to have a better line of sight with the cell tower, which in turn will help provide as fast of a speed as possible straight to your house.

Managing your Mx515v

The Mx515v can be managed via the Aginet app.

This neat application can be downloaded via the Google or Apple play store, allowing you to:

  • Change your Wi-Fi name and password.
  • Add parental controls to connected devices.
  • Monitor data usage.
  • Add Wi-Fi mesh satellites for extended coverage.
