Can I remove my Fibre Box (ONT)
This page will give a quick overview of what an ONT (Optical Terminal Network) is and why we should not remove them.
What is an ONT?
An ONT (Optical Network Terminal) is the device that connects your Fibre broadband from the street to your home. It allows you to plug in your modem and access your internet connection.
ONTs are typically installed in living rooms, kitchens, or bedrooms, and are usually white or black in colour.
Can I remove my ONT?
No you cannot remove the ONT yourself.
These units are supplied and owned by the Local Fibre Company (LFC) and are registered to the specific address where they are installed. They will not function at a different location.
Only an authorised LFC technician should handle the ONT for relocation or removal and reinstallation.
